Acre Care Homes Group (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use and safeguard information about visitors to this website, and about the residents and families we support across our care homes: St Serf’s Care Home, Arberglen Care Home and Avonbridge Care Home.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Basic contact details such as your name, address, telephone number and email address, for example if you contact us to make an enquiry;
- For residents in our care: health records, care assessments, financial information and next of kin details, collected in order to provide safe and appropriate care;
- Technical information collected automatically by our website hosting and security software (such as IP address) for the purposes of keeping the site secure and functioning correctly.
How we use your information
We use personal information to identify you as an individual, to identify and provide the care and support you need to enable you to live as independently, healthily, safely and sustainably as possible, to communicate with residents’ families, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and to respond to enquiries made through this website.
Sharing your information
We may share information with other companies within the Acre Care Homes Group, with regulatory bodies such as the Care Inspectorate, and with healthcare professionals involved in a resident’s care (such as GP surgeries and District Nurses), where appropriate and with consent where required. We do not sell your personal information to marketing or advertising companies.
Cookies and website analytics
This website does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta/Facebook Pixel, Microsoft Clarity or any similar tracking, advertising or analytics service, and does not set any non-essential cookies to track your visit.
This site does load fonts from Google Fonts to display text correctly. This may involve your device connecting to Google’s servers when the page loads, but does not set an advertising or tracking cookie. If we introduce any analytics, marketing or tracking tools in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent via a cookie banner where required by law.
Data retention
Resident records are retained for the duration of residence within the care home, and for at least five years thereafter, in line with our regulatory obligations. Enquiry information from website visitors is kept only for as long as necessary to respond to and manage that enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your information has been handled incorrectly.
